THE DANIEL OWEN NEW WRITING COMPETITION
‘A Sense of Place’
Clwyd Theatr Cymru Theatre for Young People are launching a new writing award to celebrate the life of one of Wales’s best known writers, Daniel Owen, of Mold. You can see his statue next to the library. He died in 1895. We are looking for the authentic voices of today, who, like Daniel Owen, see the world they live in now, and can convey that in writing that shares that Sense of Place with the rest of the world.
If you want to put your observations, stories, poetry, ideas into words then click on the link below.

Gemma Dann's recruitment note
Members of the Creative Taskforce were interested in interviewing actors from productions they had seen. Two of them were given the opportunity to chat with cast members from the Grapes of Wrath, to discuss the play, the amazing production by Tim Baker and an actor's life in general.
If you want to find out who they interviewed and what was said click here.
